Infant Care Program Details…

Infant Daycare at Ms. Vickie’s: We take infant care—the privilege and responsibility of caring for your baby—very seriously! An infant depends heavily on those adults placed in charge of their care and nurturing as they grow into toddlers. Infants thrive in secure, loving environments where they can learn to express their needs, and their own special personalities. By faithfully acknowledging and addressing your baby’s physical and emotional needs, we set a foundation for fruitful learning.

Your baby’s wellbeing depends on an attentive adult: one who can read the “cues” given by the infant and respond accordingly to their personal needs. It may be clean diaper or a fresh bottle that is needed. Or perhaps, simply to be held and played with, or sung to… or maybe all of the above, to be followed, of course, by blissful sleep! Here at our daycare, we have a separate nap area adjoining the main classroom. Even when a baby appears content, diapers must be checked at least every 90 minutes, and promptly changed when “soiled” or otherwise necessary. Note that parents are expected to provide an adequate supply of diapers, a change of clothes, a blanket (for naptime), and bottles (three please). All items brought into the daycare should be labeled with the baby’s first name. Baby formula, baby food, and wipes will be supplied by Ms. Vickie’s Daycare.
